Being a Dentist is Her Calling!
Dr. Natalee Peeters has known she wanted to be a dentist since she was a teenager. When she was only 14-years-old she began working at a local dentist office after school where she cleaned instruments, performed chairside assisting and worked as the receptionist. She went on to attend Thompson Rivers University (then called Cariboo College) for her prerequisite health science studies and was accepted to the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Dentistry. Dr. Peeters graduated from UBC in 1997 and returned to her hometown of Kamloops to marry her college sweetheart, Jason, and begin her dental career.
Community Focused – Locally and Internationally
Dr. Peeters gained unique experience working in the extended care dental facility at Ponderosa Lodge and also engaged in dental volunteer activities including working at the New Life Mission in Kamloops. Additionally, she has completed multiple volunteer trips with Kindness in Action, a non-profit organization providing dental health services to underprivileged countries around the world. Through Kindness in Action, Dr. Peeters has provided dental health services in Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Peru, Ecuador, the Philippines and Haiti.
These days Dr. Peeters time is completely committed to caring for the patients at her full-time practice. She also continually takes continuing dental education and training courses throughout North America focusing on the most up to date and current aspects of general dentistry.
When she is not working in the office or attending dental courses, you will find her running on the local trails, spending quality time with her family and friends or cuddling up with her two Siberian kittens – Mischa and Remington.
